Type A

IC Bus AE Series (2005-2015) dimensions

IC Bus (Navistar) · Front engine · Legacy / used market · Planning estimate

IC's Type A, built on a cutaway chassis like its competitors but often specified with a diesel engine, which is the main reason converters seek it out over a gas Micro Bird. A diesel in a small bus means better fuel economy and a far longer service life for the drivetrain, at the cost of noisier cold starts and pricier repairs. Same narrow-body planning constraints as every Type A.
